Hours of work: 37.5 Hours Closing Date: Monday 13th May 2024 @ 12noon     Position Summary:   Patient Flow could be described as the management of all admissions, transfers and discharges by a hospital in a framework that integrates and coordinates all processes related to these activities. Discharge Planning is the main focus and core business of the Patient Flow department, which is fundamental to create essential capacity across the hospital in order to manage Patient Flow through the hospital effectively. The Patient Flow Department is a corporate department, which interfaces with and works effectively with Hospital Managers, Hospital Consultants, Community Services, Senior Nursing and other Senior Clinical Staff. Patient Flow is also responsible for monitoring and assessing the availability of beds to accommodate all admissions ensuring a real-time safe flow status at all times. The Patient Flow CNM3 will support the Head of the Patient Flow department in administration of the department, deputizing in her absence. In addition to managing real-time operational Patient Flow management and management of the department, the Patient Flow CNM3 will be assigned to lead on various projects focusing on effective Discharge Planning/Patient Flow management, liaising with senior stakeholders within the hospital and with community/external stakeholders. The Patient Flow CNM3 will manage and lead on the management of complex discharges.

  Confined Competition – Internal Applicants Only   Post Title: CNM2 Infection Prevention and Control with responsibility for Residential care facilities within the Beaumont Hospital catchment. There are 27 designated centres. Post Status: Permanent - Confined Competition Department Nursing Administration Location: Beaumont Hospital, Dublin 9  Reports to: ADON Nursing Home Liaison and Beaumont Care in the Home Salary: Appointment will be made on CNM 2 Pay scale (€57,198 - €67,621) at a point in line with Government pay policy.  Hours of work:  Full time (37.5 hours per week) Closing Date: Monday 6th May 2024 @ 12noon     Position Summary:   Accountable to: to the Assistant Director of Nursing for Nursing Home Liaison and Beaumont Care in the home. The clinical nurse manager 2 (CNM2), infection prevention & control (IPC) is responsible for providing IPC-related education and undertaking IPC-related audit to support the existing structures within the residential care facilities in Beaumont Hospital catchment.   While being accountable to the ADON. The post holder will work in close collaboration with the DON of Residential Centres, Consultant Geriatrician and all members of the multidisciplinary team to ensure service is maintained. The post holder will be involved in education and quality control, as well as data collection, analysis, audits and formulation of reports. The post holder will maintain close professional links with the Beaumont Hospital IPC team, particularly their counterpart in the Raheny Community Nursing Unit, and attend the weekly IPC team meeting and provide reports to the Hospital’s IPC Committee on educational and audit activities undertaken in the designated residential care centres. The IPC committee meets on a quarterly basis. While the post holder will ensure that IPC-related education delivered to staff of residential care facilities, along with IPC-related audit activity is specifically-tailored to that setting, it is also closely aligned with IPC-related education and audit undertaken in Beaumont Hospital, St Joseph’s Hospital and specifically the Raheny Community Nursing Unit
